Folder Manager

To enter the Folder Manager, click on "Folder Manager" on the side menu.

Add New Folder: If you are using IMAP, you can choose whether you want to create a Local Folder or an IMAP Folder. To create a Local Folder, make sure the Local Folder box is checked. Type in the folder name, and click "Save Changes". If you would like to create an IMAP folder, uncheck the Local Folder box, type in the folder name, and click "Save Changes".

If you are using POP, any new folder you create can only be a Local Folder. Click on "Add New Folder", type in a folder name, and click "Save Changes". The folder will then be created.

Edit Selected:
Select a folder by clicking the circle on the left of the folder name. Clicking "Edit Selected" will allow you to change the name of the folder.
Delete Selected: Select a folder by clicking the circle on the left of the folder name. After you click "Delete Selected", the folder will be deleted. The folder will be deleted even if it has messages in it!
Export: Select a folder by clicking the circle on the left of the folder name. Clicking on "Export" will bring up a dialogue box so that you can select a location and name for the file. The folder is saved in text format with extension .mbox. You cannot export empty folders.
Local Folders: Local folders are stored on the EMU Webmail servers, and can only be accessed through EMU Webmail. This is the only type of folders you can create if you have a POP account.
IMAP Folders: IMAP folders are stored on the server where you have your email account. You can access IMAP folders both through EMU Webmail and through any other way you choose to check your email.
